Boysenberries
Boysenberries are a superfood.
They’re high in antioxidants. Now you may not really know what that means, but you can be sure that being high in antioxidants is a GOOD thing.
Boysenberries also contain phytochemicals, including:
Anthocyanins (which have been linked to improved eyesight, reduced inflammation, protection from cardiovascular disease and from the effects of ageing.)
Ellagic acid (which has been shown to have potential anti-carcinogenic properties.)
Raspberries
Raspberries are a good source of fibre and vitamin C. They contain many other important vitamins and minerals as well, and, they too are high in several antioxidant compounds.
There’s also a suggestion that raspberries have anti inflammatory effects that may reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer.
